Essential fatty acids are crucial. "Crucial to what? " you say. Proper digestion: less waste. Greater growth: more fish from the feed that is fed. Reproduction: Essential fatty acids along with good water quality are key to good egg sets, and hatch rates. Fish that are fed diets that are low in EFA's typically have a higher mortality rate, low reproductive rate with more deformities, create more waste, are sluggish, and generally do not look healthy.
